HardiPlank on ST. Johns 2 story- Suprise under existing siding.

We were hired to install HardiePlank on the majority of this house. A contractor previously installed Hardi on the south wall of the house, we noticed the install was not correct, we removed the trim and found rot, so we removed everything. A lesson to learn also for homeowners- Annually inspect your caulking at the trim, this one had never been re-caulked. Notice the rot at all four corners of the window. The studs on both sides of the window were rotten. Below, we have put it back together, with the HardiWrap installed and the HardieTrim properly installed and ready for the siding.
